What is Market Intelligence?
Market Intelligence allows you to record your knowledge and insights about the art market. It gives you the ability to log your knowledge of art market activity (inbound sales, potential sales and/or buying opportunities).
The feature includes two related sections in your Artlogic database:
Market Intelligence (explained below)
Database > Sales & Marketing > Market Intelligence
Database > Artworks > Views > Researched Artworks

- Or create a new contact by selecting 'New contact record'.
Select the Type for this Market Intelligence record. 'Type' is the nature of the relationship between the selected contact(s) and the selected artwork(s). For example, a contact: 'Is interested in', 'Owns', 'Offered to us', etc.
Select the date that you learned about this information.
You can select either one artist or artworks you wish to record this information about.
- Select an artist record from the Add Artist/works field.
- Or turn on the switch 'Add individual artworks' to select existing artworks from the Add Artist/works field.
- You can also create new artwork records clicking on 'New artwork record'.
In order to not overwhelm your Main inventory with these new artwork entries, all artworks created in Market Intelligence have the checkbox 'Market intelligence only' ticked by default, which will add them to the Researched artworks section.
