Gallery Firewalling allows users to only see records and data related to their own specific gallery. This article explains the hidden areas of the management system when the Gallery Firewalling feature is turned on.
The link between Multi-Gallery and Gallery Firewalling features
The multi-gallery feature restricts users from viewing actual artwork records and invoices. However, users will still be able to view artworks if they show up in other areas such as, artwork lists, private views and invoices.
The Gallery Firewalling feature completely prevents users from accessing and viewing artworks and invoices not in their gallery/s even though they appear in other areas of the system. This keeps the data secure and confidential.
What does Gallery Firewalling prevent access to?
When this feature is turned on and a user has the only show records from their gallery settings turned on, then the user will be unable to see:
- Accounts records for artworks not in their selected gallery/s
- Invoices not in their selected gallery/s
- Artwork lists that have works not in their selected gallery/s
- Market intelligence records, offers, shipping quotes, timeline for works etc
- Private Views that have works not in their selected gallery/s
