Congratulations, you can now sell directly via your website!
Now that we have enabled your online sales features you'll be able to start selling online immediately. This guide will provide you with the resources to explain how to manage online sales, whether you have a standalone or integrated website.
Standalone and integrated websites
Now that your online sales are 'live' on your website, the public will be able to purchase any items made available for sale. You'll now need to familiarise yourself with the methods to manage any sales generated this way.
Adding and modifying artworks for sale online

The 'cart'
How will an artwork appear when it is for sale online?
Artworks that have been made available to purchase online will have an 'Add to cart' button appear alongside its price when clicked. You can amend the way the button looks in CMS > Settings > Styles.
Clicking 'Add to cart' will move the item to the customer's cart.
They will receive a pop-up notification and then their cart will be updated depending on the number of items added:

What happens when an order has been placed?
When someone has bought an item from your website you'll be notified via the email you have included in your Online sales setup (Settings > Online sales setup > Email notifications) and the payment for your item will be processed by Stripe.
The customer will be sent a confirmation email and will see the following confirmation page.

The following is an example confirmation page, which displays information related to a customer's purchase.
Customise your checkout confirmation page via your website CMS > Contact & enquiries > Store.
Viewing orders made online
You’ll be able to view your online sales in your website CMS > Admin > Store.
Here, you have the option to view order details, see payments from your Stripe dashboard ('Payments (Stripe)'), adjust your shipping settings, and add coupon/discount codes.
Completed orders
Website CMS > Admin > Store > Orders > Completed orders. Any orders made via your website will appear here. From this screen, you're able to export this data or to view and edit individual orders by clicking the 'pencil edit' icon besides each order.
Viewing orders, marking them as 'dispatched', or as 'cancelled'
By clicking the 'pencil edit' button for an order, you'll be able to view more detailed information about the customer and item purchased.
Specifically, you'll see:
- Order summary
- Transaction details
- Customer details
- Receipt
- Shipping
- Admin options, including a 'Dispatched' field and an option to cancel the order, with a notes field for additional information.
To mark the order as being dispatched or if you would like to cancel the order, you'll need to be an admin user.
Integrated websites only
As you have an integrated website that syncs automatically with your Artlogic database, you'll have more options when it comes to managing and processing your orders.
Adding and modifying artworks for sale online

Viewing online sales from your website CMS
You’ll also be able to view your online sales in your website CMS > Admin > Store. Here, you have the option to view order details, see payments from your Stripe dashboard, adjust your shipping settings, and add coupon/discount codes.
