Categorising your blog entries will make it easier for your visitors to navigate through different topics or themes that matter to them. The article will show you how you how to add categories and tags to your blog records.
How to add categories to your blog records
When you add categories to your Blog Records, they will appear under the Categories heading to the right of your article on your site, like this:
Steps
- Navigate to Records in your top menu.
- Click Blog > Categories.
- Click New Record.
- Name your new category.
- Make sure your record is set to Show on website.
- You now need to go back to your blog entries to add your new category to your chosen articles.
- Click Save.
How to add tags to your blog records
Tags will appear in a similar way to Categories, under you article. However, tags also allow your chosen blog entries to display in search results across your website. For example, a tag for 'Frieze' would mean that a search for the same word could bring up your Art fair record, certain Artist records, and any blog entries on the fair.
Steps
- Navigate to Records in your top menu.
- Click Blog > Tags.
- Click New record.
- Enter in the Name of your tag.
- Make sure your record is set to Show on website.
- Go back to your Blog articles in order to add your tag.
- Save.
To add your tag, click to edit your article and then scroll down to the section titled Related items. Here you will see the field where you can search and add your newly created tags.
