This guide explains how to add publication records to your website and how to adjust how they are displayed.
Create Publication records
Publication records can be created in the CMS via Records > Publications or through Records > Store > Publications.
Edit your Publication record
By clicking the 'pencil edit' icon you'll be able to add details about your publication. This can include the following:
- Publication details
- Author and editor
- Book formats
Different formats like 'hardcover' or 'softcover' can be listed together in each record and priced differently. - Store options
- Settings
Publications can be separated into 'Gallery publications' and 'Exhibition catalogues'. - Images
- Related artists and selected exhibitions
- External links, including external purchase links.
- Title sort override
Only required when you need to override the title when sorting alphabetically. This might, for instance, be the last name of an artist. - Publication date
This is optional. The date by which the publication record is sorted within a year. You may enter an approximate date - it is not displayed.
Modify how your Publication records appear
How are Publication records ordered
Your Publication records are ordered by their Year (if this field has been entered). If you have multiple publications of the same year, these will then be ordered alphabetically on your website.
To further customise their order, add a 'Publication date' (this exists at the bottom of the Publication record edit screen). This is an optional field. It denotes the date by which the publication record is sorted within a specific year. You may enter an approximate date - it is not displayed.
Further edits: Go to 'Other records'
You are able to make further edits to your Publications and their layout on your website by going to your CMS > Settings > Settings > Sections > Other Records and scroll to Publications.
