This guide shows you how to create and organise your artwork by series. First, make sure you have enabled this function in your Core preferences.
Enable 'Series' in your Core preferences
In your database, go to Other > Admin > Preferences > Core preferences > Artworks > enable 'Show series field'.
This will then activate the 'Series' field in your artwork records.
Note: If you are unable to access these Core preferences, you may not have the required permission. In this case, talk to an admin colleague.
Create your first series
To make your first series, follow these steps:
- Go to an artwork record that you wish to organise within a series.
- Click the 'pencil' icon to edit the record.
- Go to the Artwork tab and go to the 'Series' text box.
- In this text box, enter your chosen series title and click save.
Add more artworks to the series
There are two ways of doing this: individually or by update multiple.
For individual records:
- Select your chosen artwork and click the 'pencil' icon to edit.
- Go to the Artwork tab and go to the 'Series' text box.
- Next to the text box, click 'Paste from list'.
- Choose your series and click save.
For multiple records:
- Go to Artworks.
- Flag the artworks you wish to add to a series and click 'Find flagged'.
- Click 'Update multiple' > Update flagged > Artwork details > Series.
- Enter the text you wish to add to 'Series'.
- Here you can also choose to completely replace all existing field contents or to only replace empty fields.
- Click Save to make your edit.
