This article will guide you through some of the possible reasons why one, or a number of artists, are not showing in your PrivateViews.
Info: To manage the artworks and artists automatically synced to your PrivateViews app, go to Artworks > PrivateViews > iPhone/iPad synchronisation. Remember, any changes made to these settings can take up to 30 minutes to sync. You may also need to trigger the updates within the app itself, to ensure these updates have been downloaded to your app.
Automatic PrivateViews for SELECTED artists
If you have chosen to 'Create Private Views Automatically' and to 'create automatic Private Views for SELECTED artists', make sure you have selected the artists for whom automatic Private Views should be created.
Steps
- Go to the PrivateViews settings in your database: Artworks > Privateviews > iPhone/iPad synchronisation > scroll to Create Privateviews automatically
- Select your artist/s and save these settings. This will send them through to app (assuming they have artwork records in the database).
Automatic PrivateViews for ALL artists
If you have chosen to 'Create Private Views Automatically' and to 'create automatic Private Views for ALL artists', it is important to make sure that all artworks by an artist that you want to appear in the app have a status and availability that you have enabled.
Steps
- Go to the PrivateViews settings in your database: Artworks > Privateviews > iPhone/iPad synchronisation > scroll to Create Privateviews automatically
- Here, you will see that you have the option to select or deselect various types of status and availabilities to send through to the app.
For example, if you deselect all 'Sold' artworks, these will not appear in your PrivateViews app.
