This article will guide you through some of the possible reasons why one, or a number of artists, are not showing in your Artlogic app.
Automatic Artist Private Views for SELECTED artists
If you have chosen to 'create automatic Private Views for SELECTED artists', make sure you have selected the artists for whom automatic Private Views should be created.
Steps
- Go to the Artlogic app settings in your database: App > View Settings > Automatic Artist Private Views > scroll to create automatic Private Views for SELECTED artists.
- Select your artist/s and save these settings. This will send them through to app (assuming they have artwork records in the database).
Automatic PrivateViews for ALL artists
If you have chosen to 'create automatic Private Views for ALL artists', it is important to make sure that all artworks by an artist that you want to appear in the app have an Availability that you have enabled.
Steps
- Go to the Artlogic app settings in your database: App > View Settings > Automatic Artist Private Views > scroll to Create automatic Private Views for ALL artists.

Here, you will see that you have the option to select or deselect various types of status and availabilities to send through to the app.
For example, if you deselect all 'Sold' artworks, these will not appear in your PrivateViews app.
Why has an artwork not synced to the app?
There are a few things that you can check if you notice an artwork hasn’t synced:
Ensure the artwork is connected to an artist record
The quickest way to check this in your database is by opening your artwork record and if the artist selected does not have a paintbrush icon, it is not connected to an Artist record and this will be the reason it has not been shared to the app.
If you are still experiencing issues, make sure that you are keeping your database records clean and there aren't any duplicate artist records. If there are duplicated artist records, it can be fixed using the steps outlined here.

Is the artwork 'archived'?
Check this on the artwork record > Other

Does the artwork have any overrides in the 'App' tab?
On the artwork record, there are further opportunities to share or un-share the artwork record within the App, overriding any other less granular settings.
