Uploading artworks to your CMS
This guide will help you get started on creating and managing your artwork records.
It's simple to create new artwork records in your CMS, and immediately display them on your website.
1. Log in to your CMS
Your CMS will be available at an address similar to https//:website-youraccountid.artlogic.net/admin
2. Go to Records > Artworks > All artworks
This is where you will create and manage all your artworks for your website.
3. Select 'New record'
Info: Artlogic Websites don't currently offer a feature to create new Artwork Records in bulk, but we're working on it!
The 'New record' button is found at the bottom left of the page. Go ahead and complete all the information you'd like to display and upload an image.
4. Activate the 'Enabled on website' toggle
This allows the Artwork record to display on your website.
Where will they display?
You can choose to display your artworks in each artist's page, in your general Artworks page, in your Store, or only in your Exhibition records.
On the Artist and/or Artworks page
Under Visibility, selecting In artist's representative group of works will display this work in the Overview on this artist's detail page.
Select Show on artist/artworks pages.
This setting will then automatically:
- Create an Artist page (though it will not be 'live') and
- Display this artwork on your Artworks page.
Tip: Selecting Artist's representative work will display this work on the Artists page list view.
Making an Artist record 'live'
1. Open your Artist record
Go to Record > Artists > select the 'pencil edit' button for an Artist record.
2. Select 'Enabled on website'
This toggle allows the Artist record to display on your website. You can return to this record later to complete their Overview, Biography, etc.
On the Store page
Selecting Featured in shop will display this artwork at the top of the Store page and with a larger image.
Please select Add to online shop to share an Artwork record to your store.
On Exhibitions pages only
If you only want to show the Artwork record in an Exhibition record, please leave the checkboxes un-selected as above.
In Custom pages/Feature Panels only
If you only want to show the Artwork record in a custom page or within feature panels, please leave the checkboxes un-selected as above.
Multiple edition formats
To display variations for the same record, use the Formats field:
Compulsory fields are listed below:
- Format Name
- For sale
Your retail price should be located in the Price field.
Sale price is used in the occasion that you're offering a discounted price on that artwork.
- It is extremely important to enter a Format name for each item. This is also what the shopping cart uses to recognise each item.
- Using the formats table will override the other fields in this record.
- Any weights left blank will revert to the default shipping weight, which is 200g.
