This guide aims to assist you in identifying the various types of images that can be uploaded into an artist record within your CMS.
Within your CMS, there are three distinct types of images that can be utilised to represent an artist: Artist image, List image, and Overview image. These images serve different purposes and contribute to the overall presentation of the artist's profile
Artist image
This type of image is typically a portrait or a promotional photograph of the artist. It is the primary visual representation that your audiences will associate with the artist, and as such, it should capture their essence and personality. It will accompany the 'Biography' section featured in the artist detail page.
List image
The list image is generally a smaller representation of the artist that is used in lists or collections, such as in search results or artist directories. This image is designed to be eye-catching yet concise, allowing users to quickly identify the artist among many others. You may choose to select an image that exemplifies the body of work created by the artist featured on the list.
Overview image
The overview image is a representation of the artist accompanying the 'Overview (short bio)' section featured in the artist detail page.
