Whether you have an integrated Management System and website, or a standalone website, the steps below explain how to enable this feature.
Artlogic Management System(integrated clients)
Steps
Configuring individual Artworks
View on a wall will need to be enabled for each artwork.
- Start by editing the artwork. Make sure you’ve added an image and entered the artwork’s dimensions in the cm width field.
- Next, proceed to the Image tab of the Artwork. Scroll down to the ‘View on a wall” section to enable the feature for Websites. (You can also enable ‘View on a wall’ for Private Views. See link to help note.)
- Save the Artwork to proceed.
Configuring multiple Artworks
- Make sure you’ve added an image and entered the artwork’s dimensions in the cm Width field for all of the artworks you plan to enable. (See step one above.)
- Find and flag your chosen artwork records.
- Click Update multiple.
- Open the Sharing tab and scroll down to Website Settings OR simply search for ‘website’ in the Search field.
- Click Website Settings and scroll down to check Enable View on a Wall.
- Make sure Enable 'View on a wall' is selected. (You can also use this process to disable this feature for your chosen artworks.)
- Click Update then OK to proceed.
Selecting a custom image or width
Sometimes you may want to use a different image to display on a wall (for example, if you'd like to include a frame or matting.)
- Edit the individual artwork you’d like to have a custom image and go to the Images tab.
- Scroll down to ‘View on a wall’.
- Select Set custom width or image and then click Upload custom image to select an image from your computer.
- If the artwork in the image is of a different dimension than the main image, be sure to add the custom Width (cms) as well.
- Click Confirm. (The custom image and width will not appear until you have saved the Artwork.)
Standalone websites
If you do not have an Artlogic Management System, follow these steps to enable your View on a Wall.
- Log in to your website CMS.
- Go to: Settings > Settings > Artworks > View on a wall > enable View on a Wall.
Once you've enabled View on a Wall in your CMS settings, it will enable it for all artworks.
Dimension Overrides
By default, the View on a Wall feature uses artwork dimensions to create the models. However, if you feel the size needs to be adjusted, you can use the overrides to edit the dimensions and upload an override image for your website.
The settings to edit View on a Wall overrides are found within the Website tab of each Artwork record in your Management System or CMS (for Standalone Clients).
To adjust the settings, click Edit 'View on a wall' overrides, fill in the dimensions according to your specifications and upload an image (optional), then click Apply and Save your record.
