Our Version 2.0 website templates have been rebuilt from the ground-up and include many new features and greater flexibility. This means that you may need to update your content and website settings to make the best use of the upgraded template.
Upgrade costs
Upgrading your template version is free of charge. However, you will move onto a new subscription plan which may increase or decrease your monthly payments depending on the plan you select and the type of site you had before.

For an additional fee, you could request a demonstration ‘staging’ version of your upgraded template website before going live.
Choosing an upgrade option
You have the option to either upgrade instantly or, for an additional fee, you can request a secondary version of your website to preview the changes and work on your material before going live.
Option 1: Upgrade instantly
We will upgrade your website version instantly and you may need to alter your styles, settings, and content afterward to make the best use of new settings and features available.
If the website is live, changes will become visible to the public immediately, and you may need to make any necessary changes to your website in real-time. Alternatively, you can decide to temporarily make your website not live, publicly displaying a very simple holding page while you preview your material and make necessary checks and changes.
Option 2: Setup a ‘staging’ version of your website to preview your new site
New themes or theme versions may require additional styles, settings, and content to make the best use of new features available.
This option allows you to safely preview these changes on a ‘staging’ website, while your existing website remains live and unaffected. We create an entirely separate instance of your website, duplicating all the content, allowing you to preview and test your new theme and make changes before going live.

- Deployment on a staging server starts at GBP 500 / USD 650 + VAT.
- If you are not ready to launch within four weeks of duplicating your site, additional hosting fees may apply.
- If you are delayed in starting the project and need us to copy data to the staging server a second time, charges for this would also apply.
