This guide will help you troubleshoot your Artsy integration within Artlogic. Sometimes the integration can lose connection, especially if your Artsy login details have changed or if your Artsy password has been reset.
Received a 'Reconnect to Artsy' warning message?
Have you received a message that says, 'Reconnect to Artsy: Your Artsy login details have changed or your password has been reset. Reconnect your account to Artsy to continue sharing artworks'?
Why you are receiving this message
This happens when either your Artsy username or password have changed or been reset. For security reasons, we require users to 'Reconnect' their accounts in order to continue exporting artworks.
How to reconnect
If you have received a 'Reconnect to Arsty' message, click 'Reconnect', then in the window that opens, click 'Yes, authorize' to complete the process.
Not an admin user?
If you do not have the required permissions to be able to reconnect your Artsy account you will receive the below message. You will need to ask an admin user in your database to make this change for you.
Having problems with the export function?
If you are experiencing problems when attempting to export images or artworks to Artsy, or if the system displays a 'Sorry, something went wrong' message, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue. One effective method is to disconnect the artwork that is currently linked to your Artsy account.
Steps to disconnect an artwork from Artsy
You will find this setting by clicking inside the artwork record in question and navigating under the Artsy tab. This setting will disconnect the artwork from its counterpart on Artsy. No artwork details will be deleted on either system.
Once you have successfully disconnected the artwork, the next step is to reconnect it by adding the artwork to Artsy directly from the 'Artsy' tab within the artwork record.
Artsy keeps disconnecting?
If you have already performed the above action and checks, you may need to disable and re-enable your Artsy integration. This can be done from the Core Preferences of your database:
How to disable the integration
- Log in to your database > Other > Admin > Preferences > Core preferences > Integrations
- Click Disable Artsy Integration
- A pop-up message will appear asking you to choose to either 'Disable' the integration or to 'Disable and remove all data'. Disabling the Artsy integration will prevent you from exporting artworks and artists in Artlogic to your Artsy account. Pushing this button will give you the option to disable the integration or to disable and remove all data. If you choose to remove all data, this will remove all the data in the 'Artsy' tab of your database records. This will not affect any records in your Artsy account.
- Click Ok when you are happy to complete the disabling.
There are two options for disabling the integration:
- 'Disable' will disconnect the integration without removing the existing links between the Artlogic and Artsy records, allowing these links to remain intact for future use.
- 'Disable and remove all data' not only disconnects the integration but also removes all links between Artlogic and Artsy records, meaning any previously established connections will be forgotten and rendered inactive.
How to re-enable the integration
- Log in to your database > Other > Admin > Preferences > Core preferences > Integrations
- Click Set up Artlogic + Artsy Integration to begin
