Common questions
How does Artlogic Pay work?
Artlogic Pay works using a Stripe integration with your Database.
When generating an invoice from within Artlogic, you will have the option of creating a payment link. Send this link to your client for them to pay the invoice online. Your client will be taken to an online payment window to complete the transaction using a credit or debit card or by direct debit.
Once complete, the transaction will be reflected within Artlogic. The client will receive an email confirming that their payment has been successful.
You will need to create a new Artlogic-only Stripe account to use Artlogic Pay To find out how to integrate Stripe refer to How to integrate Stripe with the Artlogic Database below.
Can I select when an Artlogic Pay link will be generated?
Yes. You will have the option to choose when an invoice has a payment link generated for it.

When will I receive payments made via Artlogic Pay in my bank account?
Payouts are managed by Stripe.
Payout availability can vary based on the industry and country you’re operating in. In most cases, when you start processing live payments from your customers with Stripe, you won’t receive your first payout until 7–14 days after receiving your first successful payment. The first payout may take longer for a number of reasons, including your country or being in a high-risk industry. Processing subsequent payouts then happens according to your account’s payout schedule.

Initial weekly limits on debit payment methods
If you are using Bacs, ACH or SEPA debit methods your Stripe account will be subject to certain limits when you first start transacting on Artlogic Pay. See table below for the initial weekly limits. The limits on your account slowly increase as Stripe sees regular payments go through allowing you to transact more and more over time.
Type | Initial Weekly limit |
ACH | $100,000 |
Bacs | £10,000 |
SEPA | €10,000 |
Artlogic does not have visibility over whether your limit has increased. If you have questions about your transaction limit, please contact Stripe Support.
If you would like to put through a transaction that will put you over your debit limit and you are within your first month of using Artlogic Pay, get in touch with the Artlogic Support team who can work with Stripe to increase your limit.
SEPA per transaction limit
SEPA has a transaction limit of €10,000. This is imposed by Stripe. This is a hard limit and neither Stripe nor Artlogic can update this limit.
Bacs per transaction limit
Bacs has a transaction limit of £100,000. This is imposed by Stripe. This is a hard limit and neither Stripe nor Artlogic can update this limit.
When will debit transactions appear in my Stripe balance?
ACH Guide - Stripe
With ACH Direct Debit, it can take time for funds to become available in your Stripe balance. The amount of time it takes for funds to become available is referred to as the settlement timing. The following tables describe the settlement timings for ACH Direct Debit payments that Stripe offers.
Bacs Guide - Stripe
It takes 3 business days to confirm the success or failure of a Bacs Direct Debit payment when a mandate is already in place and 6 business days when a new mandate must be collected. Payments made after 20:00 UTC are submitted the following business day.
In some cases, the bank may notify Stripe of a payment failure after the payment has been marked as successful in your Stripe account. In this case the payment failure is identified as a dispute with the appropriate reason code.
This table shows the Bacs timeline in business days from the time (T) that a payment is made when a new mandate must be collected:
SEPA Guide - Stripe
SEPA Direct Debit payments are subject to a 5 business day payout timing if your current payout timing is less than 5 business days or 7 calendar days. When you reach 35,000 USD of SEPA Direct Debit processing volume, payout timing for SEPA Direct Debit payments returns to normal.
