How to use the Sales Pipeline Insights tool
The Insights tool gives administrators (and Sales Pipeline users with access) oversight of their business's sales performance.
About Insights
Insights is a collection of metrics that help you to measure your sales performance. Its detailed statistics, which have been tailored for galleries and artist studios, will mean you can move forward confidently when making important business decisions.
What information does it offer?
It's in this section you can find a range of metrics from the time periods you choose. Insights is broken into 3 sections: Sales overview; Open/ all offers; and Performance. Each section can display data based on monthly, quarterly, yearly or 'all' time periods.

Steps
Warning: You'll need to be a system administrator (or have permission granted from an administrator through your database's user permissions to do this).
- Log in to your database.
- Click Sales Pipeline > Insights (or head to any of the Views and click Insights in the action bar).
Using Insights
Overview
Sales overview and Open/ all offers provide analysis relating to the offers made in Sales Pipeline, whereas Performance assesses the impact of each consultant.
How to change the time period
Select the toggle in the bottom-right corner to choose your time period. Use the arrows in the top-right corner to change the month, quarter or year displayed.
This is important because it will also affect the reports you generate.
How to generate a report
Click Generate report to export your information shown into an Excel spreadsheet, Word document or PDF. This will export your information split into 'Sales overview', 'Team overview', 'Artist overview', and 'Market overview'.

Sales overview
This page relates to all sold items processed through the Sales Pipeline.
Sold artworks value, by consultant
This is a chart displaying the total value of sold items per consultant, which is divided further into different currencies, where the accepted date falls within the active time period. Hover over the chart to reveal a detailed breakdown of figures. Summary blocks underneath give the total value of sold items per currency, total discounts, and the discount proportion of total sales per currency.
Info: this chart will only display if there are less than 30 artists with sold offers.
Further boxes provide details of the sold artworks by consultant, by Sales Channel, by artist, and total sold artworks in each currency.

Assess the performance of your Sales Channels, broken down by currency.
Sold artworks value, by artist
This graph shows the revenue generated per artist, per currency.
Sold artworks, by country
A map chart displaying the number of offers sold per country, where the offer accepted date falls within the active time period. The offer will only be shown here if the 'Country' field of the contact record is populated correctly.
Click 'find contacts' button beneath the map to find those without an assigned country.
Open/ all offers
This page gives a breakdown of all offers that have been inputted through Sales Pipeline.
Offer stage, by consultant
A chart displaying the number of offers by consultant, per stage from Open to Cancelled, where the offer date falls within the active time period.
The following pie charts display the total 'Sold offer records', 'Number of offer records made' and
'Number of overdue offer records', by consultant, and 'All offered artworks', by Sales Channel. Hover over each segment to reveal further details.
All offered artworks value, by Sales Channel
This graph shows the total value assigned to each Sales Channel in your Sales Pipeline.
Number of offers, by country
The following map helps to visualise where on the globe the contacts that you are offering works to are based. Click 'Find contacts' beneath the map to assign contacts with an empty 'Country' field a country. This will give you a more accurate picture of this demographic.
Performance
Average conversion days, by consultant
This bar chart displays the average conversion time in days (between the offer accepted and offer dates) per consultant, where the accepted date falls within the active time period.
Summary block underneath gives the average conversion time in days.
Average sold artworks value, by consultant
This chart shows the average value of individual, sold offer items offers by consultant, per currency, where the offer accepted date falls within the active time period.
Summary blocks give the average value accepted offer items offers per currency.
